In-home newborn sessions in Ottawa, following your baby's lead, in the light already in your home. One day you'll want to show them exactly how they looked in your arms those first months.
You will not remember how small they were. Not really. You'll think you will — but newborn days move in a blur of firsts, midnights and milk-drunk faces, and before you know it, they're already different.
I offer two ways to document this season — a relaxed, in-home lifestyle session that follows your baby's lead and captures your real, everyday world; and a classic session with a clean backdrop, beautiful light, and the kind of portraits that feel elevated and timeless.
Lifestyle Newborn
An in-home session built around your baby, your space, and the light already there. Nothing staged, nothing forced — just honest, documentary-style portraits of the way life actually looks in these early days.
Available from 7 days through six months, though the sweetest sessions happen in that first two weeks when babies are still sleepy and curled up small.
Classic Newborn & Motherhood
A clean, minimalist session with a backdrop, studio lighting, and the kind of portraits that feel polished and enduring. Baby wrapped, mama draped, everything stripped back to what matters — connection.
Available from 7 days through six months, in your home or a studio. Equally beautiful at every age.
What to Expect
An unhurried, in-home experience built entirely around your baby's lead and your rhythm, whether you choose lifestyle or classic. Sessions are held in your home or a studio. No rushing, just honest storytelling — candid moments and gentle portraits woven together into a complete gallery that captures the very beginning of your baby's life.
inquiry & booking
Book during your second trimester so we have a date pencilled in well before your due date. Once baby arrives, we confirm timing — newborn sessions are best in the first two weeks (and up until ~8weeks).
consultation call
We'll talk through the feel you want, how to prepare your space, and what to expect on session day — so you're not figuring any of it out while running on no sleep. I'll take care of the details. You just focus on your baby.
your session
I come to you and I follow baby's lead — feeding, settling, holding — and I move around you, not the other way around. The result is a mix of tender portraits and real, lived-in moments that tell the full story of these first days.
your gallery
Your professionally edited gallery arrives in your private online gallery — consistent, warm, and true to your home. Download, share, and order prints directly. These are the photos you'll show them one day.
The Newborn Experience
These first weeks are too fleeting for anything rushed or generic. Every newborn session is slow, gentle, and shaped around your baby and your home — with the same level of care and intention from the first call to the final image. You focus on your baby and I handle the rest.

- Initial consultation call to plan your session with intention
- Personalized preparation & style guide
- Access to the client closet
- In-depth session prep consultation
- Private proofing gallery to select your favourite images
- Full printing rights for all delivered images
- Print credits toward wall art or keepsakes
- Option to add images beyond your collection
- Your choice of location — in-home, or studio (studio rental fees apply)
- Referrals to trusted makeup artists
Both lifestyle and classic sessions are available from 7 days through six months — though for that deeply sleepy, curled-up-small newborn look, the first two weeks are everything.
